About ABEE: We are a full-service Challenge Course, Climbing Wall, Aerial Park and Zip Line tour company. We provide adventure education and experiential program design to educational institutions (k-12 and universities), Summer Camps, conference and outdoor centers, resorts, commercial amusement operations and more. Our services include design, installation, inspection, operator training and certification, and equipment supply. Job Summary: Installer/Inspector will be responsible for the construction and safety inspection of Challenge Courses, Climbing Walls, Aerial Adventure Courses, and Zip Lines. This job requires working at height and a significant amount of travel. Safety of our staff and clients is of the upmost concern while installing, inspecting, training, and performing general work duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of challenge/adventure structures
- Inspection of challenge/adventure structures and operational equipment
- Perform job responsibilities and meet work time schedule requirements as assigned
- Client communication
- Staying current with industry practices, standards, and related regulations
- Demonstrate good morals and values
- Provide a safe and healthy experience for co-workers and clients
- Make good, sound, safe decisions regarding self and others
- Maintain good physical condition as necessary to preform all job duties
- Follow all guidelines as set forth in job description, company policy and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Must have current driver's license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to write reports
- Be able to handle multiple tasks and be creative and motivated
- Ability to follow direction and work independently
- Maintain cohesive working relationship with all company staff
- Must be a team player and willing to assist in all areas of the company
- Be able to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Must be comfortable using a wide range of construction tools (ie: hand tools, chainsaw, power tools, operate heavy machinery)
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to learn and adapt new methods of installation
Physical Requirements:
- Be Physically fit
- Able to lift and handle up to 75lbs
- Able to work at height, and climb poles and trees with appropriate access
- Desire to work outside in a variety of conditions throughout the year
Qualifications (Necessary skills and experience required):
- Carpentry skills
- Ability to read and execute construction off of a blue print plans
- Ability to operate machinery
- Ability to work long hours and irregular shifts in a fast paced, multi-task work environment
- Be familiar with ACCT, ASTM, and OSHA standards as related to the field
- Industry experience preferred
