Michelle graduated from Western Carolina University in 1995, and has 30+ years of experience as a professional.  Her background originated in experiential education but quickly expanded to include parks and recreation, local government, project management, and nonprofit leadership.  Michelle has led teams of 6 to 156 employees, chaired numerous volunteer committees and boards on the local, state and national levels, but specializes and finds she is most passionate about leadership and change management.  

In the challenge course and outdoor recreation industry, Michelle’s experience includes 20+ years working with both day and adventure camp programs, traditional challenges courses, corporate team building programs, and other adventure based activities.  

Michelle is passionate about the environment and creating opportunities for education and growth which led her current role as the Executive Director of Rescue Ranch. She loves to spend time outdoors camping, paddling, and hiking with her husband David and two rescued dogs, Dude and Darla.
